Highgate Archway Company
Formed by 1810 to cut a tunnel through the steep hill at Highgate, North London, which collapsed when almost complete, forming the present cutting. The company then built the bridge across, which was rebuilt at the turn of the century.
Capital £40,000 in shares of £50. Increased in 1813.
