Formed about 1920 to acquire from the Lancashire Dynamo and Motor Company factory and tools for the manufacture of motor car components at Heaton Norris, near Manchester. Promoted the mass production of standard parts, supplying Austin, Belsize, Calthorpe, Clement Talbot, Crossley, Cubitts and Leyland. Probably best known for its L.O.A. petrol economiser.
