Leeds, Dewsbury and Manchester Railway Company
Incorporated on 30th June 1845.
A 20 mile standard gauge line running between Leeds and Dewsbury and connecting with the Manchester and Leeds Railway in the latter town. It opened in 1848 having been amalgamated with the London and North Western Railway in 1847.
Capital £600,000 in 10,000 Whole Shares of £50 each, and 4,000 shares of £25 each. Loans of £166,000. Additional capital in 1846 of £100,000 in New Shares and Loans of £33,000.
