Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Company
Incorporated on 27th June 1895.
A 19 mile line built in the tiny 1ft 11½in gauge, to connect Lynton and Lynmouth with the national railway network in Barnstaple. It opened in 1898 and joined the Southern Railway during ‘grouping’ in 1923, closing in 1935.
