New Enfield Cycle Company Limited
Registered 1896, name changed in 1897 to Enfield Cycle Co. Ltd. This famous company manufactured, at their Hunt End Works, Redditch, cycles from 1896, motor cycles under the name ‘Royal Enfield’ between 1898 and 1971 and De Dion-Bouton engined motor cars between 1902 and 1906 (Their autocar works were sold to the Enfield Autocar Company in this year).
Capital £125,000 in 25,000 7% Cumulative Preference shares of £1 and 100,000 ordinary shares of £1.
