Rover Company Ltd.
A change of name in November 1905 of the Rover Cycle Company Limited. By 1902 the company was also making motorcycles and motor cars and although motorcycle production ceased in the 1920’s motor cars continued until acquisition by Leyland in 1967 although the marque continued in name until the mid 1970’s. Land Rover still exists as part of Jaguar.
Capital by 1910 £200,000 in shares of £1. Increased to £700,000 by 1919.
