Scarborough Queen’s Parade Tramway Company Ltd
Registered 1878. A funicular tramway running from Queens Parade down to the Promenade Pier. Opened in 1878, operated by counterbalanced water tanks. Unfortunately on opening day a car broke free and crashed into the lower station. A series of other accidents happened during the next few years and it closed in 1887. Company number 12096.
