Trent College Company Ltd.
Registered 1866. Dissolved <1916. Company number 2949. The college, at Long Eaton in Derbyshire, was founded as a middle class boarding school for boys in 1868. It exists today as a coeducational school of some 1000 day and boarding pupils. Sir Oswald Mosley, 2nd Baronet, of Ancoats (1785 – 1871) was the first shareholder. On his death transferred to his son, Sir Tonman Mosley, 3rd Baronet (1813 – 1890) and lastly to his son, the 4th Baronet, again named Sir Oswald Moseley in 1891. The Moseley family is most remembered for the 6th Baronet, another Sir Oswald, a politician who let the British Union of Fascists prior to WWII.
