Raleigh Cycle Holdings Company Limited
Incorporated in London. Founded in Nottingham in 1885 it was to become, by 1913, the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world. The company also built motorcycles from 1899 and light delivery vehicles from 1930, including a 3 wheel car. Losses caused the motor department to be sold off to its chief designer who moved to Tamworth to produce the Reliant 3 wheeler.
