Incorporated on 23rd June 1864
Built by the Scottish North Eastern Railway to run through Aberdeen and connect it with the Great North of Scotland Railway. The latter subscribed £120,000 to the project, and £70,000 came from the Scottish North Eastern company. The line became amalgamated with the Great North of Scotland company.
Capital £190,000 in subscriptions. Loans of £63,000.
