Glasgow, Barrhead and Kilmarnock Joint Railway Company

A standard gauge line linking Glasgow with Kilmarnock, built jointly by the Glasgow and South Western and the Caledonian companies (the latter owning the Glasgow, Barrhead and Neilson Direct line which would thus be extended). It was completed in 1873.
