Cardiff Railway Company
Incorporated on 6th August 1897
Originally called the Bute Docks Railway and first incorporated in 1886. The line was finally opened in 1910 at 13 ¾ miles in length, having been amended in 1903-04, and became part of the Great Western system in 1922.
Capital in 1910: £2,600,000 in ordinary shares, £1,700,000 in preference shares/stock, and over £2,000,000 in debenture stock.
