Incorporated on 21st July 1863
A 2½ mile line connecting to the Aberdare Railway. The company was also permitted to lease the line to the Taff Vale Railway for 25 years. It was opened in 1866, and in 1870 the lease was extended to 999 years, the line eventually becoming vested in the Taff Vale in 1889.
Capital £35,000 in shares of £10 each, and loans of £11,500. Increased in 1870 by £21,000 and £7,000 respectively.
