Merthyr, Tredegar and Abergavenny Railway Company
Incorporated on 1st August 1859.
A line to connect the towns, built by the Brecon and Merthyr Tydfil Junction company. It was leased to the London and North Western Railway from 1862, and became vested in the company from 1866. The route included the Bailey’s Tramroad (opened in the 1820’s) and the Llanfihangel Railway.
