
Neath and Brecon Railway Company
Incorporated on 13th July 1863
Originally incorporated on 29th July 1862 as the Dulas Valley Mineral Railway, but re-incorporated to extend the route to Brecon. A mixed gauge line connected with the Vale of Neath Railway, the complete route opened in 1867. The line was extended further to join the Central Wales Railway, and amalgamated with the Swansea Vale, and the Neath and Brecon Junction Railways in 1869, later passing to the Great Western.
Original capital £60,000 and loans of £20,000. Total capital in 1890 £379,030 in stock/shares, and £1,216,183 in debenture stocks.
