
Ross and Monmouth Railway Company
Incorporated on 5th July 1865. A 12 mile line connecting the towns, and forming a connection between the Hereford, Ross and Gloucester and the Coleford, Monmouth, Usk and Pontypool Railways. It opened in 1873, and passed to the Great Western Railway in 1922.
Capital £120,000 in shares of £20 each. Loans of £40,000. Increased for a diversion in 1867 by £40,000 and £13,000 respectively.
