Welsh Highland Railway (Light Railway) Company
Incorporated on 6th August 1872
Originally the North Wales Narrow-gauge Railway, only one of the two intended sections were actually built which opened from Dinas to Snowdon and Rhyd-ddu in 1877. The line closed in 1916, partially re-opened in 1922 and was re-named the Welsh Highland Railway. Traffic stopped in the 1930’s.
