WILLOWS, Nov. 29.— News was received here this morning that oil had been “struck” by the Washington-California Oil Company on the Nye ranch fourteen miles west of this place. The company has been operating for several months and the indications of late have been so good that crews have been kept working day and. night. Oil was encountered at a depth of 2000 feet, and the well will now produce from six to eight barrels a day. UW5 11 be sunk to a greater depth with the hope of finding the oil in greater quantities. * Oil Strike Near Willows.
