Anaconda Extension Gold Mining Company
Incorporated in Colorado by 1892. Owned the Fairview claim near the Anaconda Gold Mining Company in the Cripple Creek District. Many signed by Horace Tobor as President. Horace Tabor, 1830-1899, ‘Bonanza King of Leadville’, owned a general store in Colorado but moved to Leadville in search of gold, becoming Mayor in 1878. Made a fortune during the silver boom. U.S. Senator in 1883 and became Secretary of the Interior in 1884. His fortunes declined until he invested in the Cripple Creek mines from 1892.
