Incorporated in Wyoming about 1902. Based on the Boulder Oil Field in Colorado. Oil was first discovered here in 1901 on the McKenzie farm, and this Well was the last remaining to produce oil in the area. A much broader area was found to have both gas and oil supplies following initial discoveries, known as the Denver-Julesburg Basin.
