Maysville & Lexington Rail Road Company
Incorporated in Kentucky in 1850 connecting Maysville on the Ohio River with Lexington. Operated until 1856 when it failed and was reformed as two separate companies – Northern Division and Southern Division. The former was shortened to North Division about 1876. Both were eventually incorporated into the Louisville & Nashville RR.
