Page & Shaw Inc.
Established in 1888 but this company formed in 1912 to build the large factory in Cambridge. This certificate issued to and signed on the reverse by Otis Emerson Dunham. Dunham was a Boston lawyer who acquired control of the company by about 1920 and began a major expansion plan to make the company one of the largest candy manufacturers in the country. The 1929 crash hit the company badly and Dunham with others were found guilty of conspiracy in raising $2 million for stock and keeping half for themselves. The company was bankrupt soon after and was acquired by Daggett in 1931.
Capital $600,000 in shares of $100. Half Common and half Preferred.
