Diamondfield-Bullfrog Mining Company
Incorporated in South Dakota in 1905. The President was Jack Davies. Diamondfield Jack Davis, 1864-1949, was a gunfighter during the cattle/sheep range wars on the Nevada/Idaho borders and was convicted of murder of 2 sheepmen and sentenced to hang in 1897. Due to other confessions this was commuted to life imprisonment but he was pardoned in 1902 by Idaho Governor Frank Hunt. On his release he went to the Nevada goldfields where he struck it rich, establishing several mining camps including Diamondfield. After such an exciting life he was killed by a taxicab in Las Vegas.
