Wilmington and Reading Rail Road Company
Incorporated in 1866 and completed the line between Wilmington and Coatesville by 1869, and to Birdsboro in 1870, where it met the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad. In 1874 it built its own line into Reading. Reorganised as the Wilmington and Northern Railroad on 3rd April 1877.
