Founded in 1852 by B. F. Thompson and his two sons who built a mill near Kilgore, Texas. In 1874 Henry Tucker entered as a partner and the Thompson and Tucker Lumber Company was incorporated in 1888. Mills built at Willard, Doucette and Sour Lake, Texas.
Capital $200,000 in shares of $500, increased to $400,000 by 1904 and again to $600,000 and then $800,000.
