Wrigley Pharmaceutical Company
Wrigley formed this company in Delaware in 1920, capitalising on the success of the Wrigley Spearmint Chewing Gum to which he had no connection. His advertising and stock selling schemes were dubious and he was sued by the real Wrigley in 1929. This however failed to stop Wrigley Pharmaceutical which went on until 1941, famously taking a large stand at the 1939 New York World’s Fair.
Capital $1,000,000 in shares of $1.
